A kettle is not a cafe

It goes back when the mug is empty. Anouk is not running a counter.

The sill, the rain, the blue tin.

The sill, the rain, the blue tin.

I filled the kettle because it was empty and I was there. That is not ownership. The next person who empties it can fill it, and the person after that, and if we ever write a rota I will leave.

Isa replaced the tea. She cares which tin. I do not, and I will still use the blue one because she asked in a complete sentence. Stijn sat with a mug in the window chair and put the chair back. These are the plots we have. They are enough plot.

Someone will eventually carry the kettle down to the cellar because the cellar feels like storage. It is not storage for this. The sill is the place where you can see the rain while the water boils, and that is the only luxury the hall has agreed to.

Anouk's line was the one I wanted. If it goes downstairs, keep the bulb out of the story. We have had the bulb. We are tired of the bulb. The kettle can be a quieter object.

Oscar sat through the whole argument and said, later, that he had agreed by not speaking. Fleur told him that was the local dialect. I am glad the paper has room for a person who does not perform a mug.
